U.S. Food and Drug Administration identified that the drug, Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate is a possible treatment for coronavirus. In New York, the drug was tested on over 1, 500 corona patients that have successfully recovered. After discovering the fact, Donald Trump requested the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to allow the order of the drug to treat the increasing number of corona patients in America.

It was after the discovery of the drug being proved as a treatment for coronavirus when Trump requested the same to treat their corona patients.

HCQ is a proven global asset

On 22 March, India recommended hydroxychloroquine 200 mg as a preventive measure for treating corona patients.

Result of the drug – it treats auto-immune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, and diabetes in some cases. India then decided to ban the export of this drug on 25 March. The ban of this drug called for the US President’s “retaliation”.

On 10 April, the drug wasn’t dispatched from India by IPCA for the US as the order was not ready. Without disclosing the order size of the drug, officials announced that 25% of the order has been dispatched. As received from the sources, the US has ordered around 20 Million pills.

Nobody cared about this drug a few months back which has now become a global asset. India has offered the HCQ pills to America including pain, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Israel, and Brazil. The great news about the fact is, India is offering the drug for free. India proved to be a heroic figure for most of the countries when China threw a deadly virus to them.

Who should not take Hydroxychloroquine?

The drug should be avoided in various conditions like:

  • Pregnant women
  • Children
  • Anyone with liver infections

Depending upon the medical condition, hydroxychloroquine 200 mg is used. Currently, the drug is processed only by the Indian government to other foreign governments. No other private organization carries permission to export the medicine for trade or other purposes.
