After supplying the medicine to the U.S. and other countries, there is no denying the fact that India is the leading producer of anti-malaria medicine, Hydroxychloroquine. The medicine has proved to be a global asset and we have discussed in our previous article how India helped many countries fight coronavirus or COVID-19.

Hydroxychloroquine is a known drug to treat corona patients when given with a combination of other drugs. India recently released the ban on the export of hydroxychloroquine and Paracetamol. The country has been exporting $50 million of the drug annually.
Pakistan seeks help from India amid coronavirus

It was nonetheless a shameless act of Pakistan that even amid the pandemic of coronavirus, they had never-ending plans to attack India. Rather than standing against the deadly virus, Pakistan chose to use it against India.
After everything they did, Pakistan seeks help from India. The country asked India to supply hydroxychloroquine. Shocking, right?
Coronavirus has spread its roots in Pakistan tremendously and now, Imran Khan requested the supply of hydroxychloroquine to treat their corona patients, reported by sources.

Earlier, India releases hydroxychloroquine consignment for the U.S., Brazil, Indonesia, and other countries and as per the latest reports by sources, Pakistan has asked for the drug.
The country has countered almost 6, 000 cases of positive corona patients with over 100 deaths. The drug is not new to the country but after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration identified the benefits of the medicine, countries have been seeking help from India, the larger producer of the drug.
Did India help Pakistan with hydroxychloroquine?
As reported by the officials, India has not recorded any response to the request sent by Pakistan. There is no such confirmation if India has sent the medicine or given any statement.
“We will help these countries especially Nepal and Bhutan as they have been completely dependent on us for many products,” said an official.
India mentioned helping the neighboring countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh after the other countries. The reason behind that they are dependent on India for many other products as well.
For other countries, India has yet to take a decision on the supply. The country will consider the priority based on which they will supply hydroxychloroquine to the countries.
Final thoughts
India has helped many countries with supplying the drug but with Pakistan, they are yet to make a decision. It would be an important decision especially after the numerous attacks by Pakistan in India.
The question still arises, “Will India help Pakistan with hydroxychloroquine to treat their corona patients?”
